Chris K. Hedrich

Director

Chris worked in the banking industry for 32 years.From 2009 until her retirement in 2019 she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Loan Officer for by Bank of the Rockies, a community bank having 7 branches throughout Montana. In that position, she was responsible for bank wide lending training, policy development, underwriting standards and their implementation, lending compliance, loan quality, adherence to policy, development and proper completion of loan presentations and supporting credit analysis. The position also included ensuring proper and accurate grading of loan portfolio and that a satisfactory loan review program was in place and functional. From 1988 to 2009 Chris worked in various other loan and management related positions at Bank of the Rockies.She continues to provide consulting services to the bank in the audit, compliance and communications areas.

Chris has direct mining experience through past work with Western Water Consultants (specializing in mine hydrology) and Peter Kiewit at their Decker Coal Mine where she was responsible for accounts payable and payroll processing. Bank certifications include the National Consumer Credit School of the University of Oklahoma and the ABA National Commercial Lending School at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.

After 2 years of planning and construction, Chris and her husband Barry opened a microbrewery in White Sulphur Springs in 2016.2 Basset Brewery has become a popular destination spot in Montana for locals and visitors alike. Barry handles all brewing and Chris shares in the management and financial aspects of the business.

Chris is a former Rotarian, White Sulphur Springs School Board Member; Board Member for Arrowhead Meadows Golf Course and SCORE Mentor. While on the school board, she served as Chairman and as a member of the budget and negotiating committees. She is currently a member of the White Sulphur Springs Chamber of Commerce and American Lutheran Church. Her hobbies include reading, baking and most recently enjoying craft beer. Chris was born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming. They have two grown children.
